Atlixco--otro pueblo mágico

Atlixco is not too far from Puebla City and for Day of the Dead, it is decked out!




Pictured below l-r: cempasuchil flowers, a statue of the famous Mexican dog, the xoloescuincle, which is believed to guide souls between the two realms (between muertos and vivos), more flowers, a statue of the famous Mexican actress-singer María Félix as a catrina, a depiction of a pyramid where human sacrifices likely occured, and a depiction of two famous mountains here: La Mujer Dormida y el cerro Popocatepetl.
