La Malinche is located between the states of Tlaxcala and Puebla and measures 4.420 meters tall. It's actually a volcano, but don't worry, it's (at least mostly) inactive.

Let me confess right away that I did not make it to the tippity-top of La Malinche. After about four hours of intense hiking and scaling, I simply could not go on, mostly because of sheer terror. My friends understood, although they were a bit disappointed. But it still took us 2-3 hours to get back down, so they got over it on the way at some point.

We camped out Saturday night and started hiking at about 3 A.M. Sunday morning. I know, it sounds insane, and looking back, I kinda think it was. But by the time we reached the place where I had a panic attack (*hehe*) we could watch the sunrise, and it was GORGEOUS. So I guess hiking for hours in sheer darkness was worth it. Oh, and the stars were magnificent.

I'm not hiking this beast again, but I'd do the camping and maybe some walking. It took me at least 4-5 days to be able to do exercise again. Time to get in shape D:

Enjoy photos in no particular order!

Hasta pronto, mi querido México

It's my last week in Puebla, Mexico, and I don't do well with endings/goodbyes, so this might feel a little emotionless. I'll start...
