I miss home. Sometimes it can feel lonely and weird, but that's normal. And...

  1. I miss being able to flush toilet paper. And not having to smell used toilet paper in every bathroom I enter. #firstworldproblems

  2. I miss being able to drink water from the tap. That New York City tap water just hits different. Again, #firstworldproblems

  3. I miss pizza, pasta, my grandpa's tomatoes, his cooking in general, and, because it's fall, pumpkin.

  4. I miss being able to go for a run in my neighborhood or go for a walk at night alone. Maybe I shouldn't do that anywhere but I definitely felt safer doing it at home than here, where I still don't know the area incredibly well.

  5. I miss laundry machines and dishwashers.

This whole list is emblematic of #firstworldproblems. But feelings are feelings and it's important to honor them! This gringa is missing her good ol' 'Merican lifestyle.
